United States Postal Inspection Service

UNITED STATES POSTAL INSPECTION SERVICE
Each year, over 215 billion mail pieces are processed and delivered to customers and businesses. The mission of the U.S. Postal Inspection Service is to protect the U.S. Postal Service, secure the nation’s mail system and ensure public trust in the mail. The Postal Inspection Service is the lead agency for the task force, providing office space, resources and support personnel to task force member agencies.

United States Secret Service

UNITED STATES SECRET SERVICE
The Secret Service was established as a law enforcement agency in 1865. Investigative responsibilities have expanded to include crimes that involve financial institution fraud, computer and telecommunications fraud, false identification documents, access device fraud, advance fee fraud, electronic funds transfers, and money laundering as it relates to our core violations.

Allegheny County District Attorney

ALLEGHENY COUNTY DISTRICT ATTORNEY
Allegheny County covers an area of approximately 730 square miles and has a population of approximately 1.4 million people. The Office of the District Attorney serves as the Chief Law Enforcement Office of the county and accepts referrals from more than 100 active police departments including the City of Pittsburgh Bureau of Police, the Allegheny County Police Department and the Allegheny County Sheriff's Department. The office is also responsible for approving complaints filed by private citizens.

Pennsylvania Attorney General's Office

PENNSYLVANIA ATTORNEY GENERAL
The Attorney General is Pennsylvania's chief law enforcement officer. The office is responsible for the prosecution of organized crime and public corruption and the enforcement of the state's criminal laws against illegal drugs, environmental crimes and Medicaid and insurance fraud. The office also enforces the state's consumer protection laws, along with antitrust, charitable trust and civil rights statutes. The office also protects health care consumers. Serving as the state's law firm, the Office of Attorney General also represents the Commonwealth in any actions brought against the state or its agencies.

FEDERAL BUREAU OF INVESTIGATION
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is the investigative arm of the US Department of Justice. The FBI mission is to protect and defend the United States against terrorist and foreign intelligence threats, to uphold and enforce the criminal laws of the United States, and to provide leadership and criminal justice services to federal, state, municipal, and international agencies and partners.

The United States Department of Justice is responsible for enforcing the law and defending the interests of the United States according to the law; ensuring public safety against threats foreign and domestic; providing Federal leadership in preventing and controlling crime; seeking just punishment for those guilty of unlawful behavior; administering and enforcing the Nation's immigration laws fairly and effectively; and ensuring fair and impartial administration of justice for all Americans.

Pittsburgh Bureau of Police

PITTSBURGH BUREAU OF POLICE
The City of Pittsburgh was incorporated in 1816. In 1857 an ordinance was adopted that established the police department for Pittsburgh. Today, the Bureau of Police is comprised of approximately 900 sworn law enforcement officers who proudly serve the residents and visitors of Pittsburgh.
